October is here and the spooky season is imminent. With this in mind, it would be a good idea to prepare your bar or pub for Halloween to make the most out of the approaching festive foot traffic. However, to fully capitalise on the haunted festival, you must bring a Halloween theme to your bar.
While you can put up an ominous pumpkin lantern and add some dark-themed decor inside your pub, the spooky ambience won’t be complete without some Halloween cocktails. These drinks will make Halloween more exciting for your customers and are bound to be lapped up, especially towards the end of October.
While it’s quite simple to slap an uncanny name on a drink and call it a cocktail, we recommend putting in some effort and coming up with a few new drinks for your menu.
To help you out, we’ve created a list of Halloween cocktails to serve at your bar during the spooky season.
Let’s get started!
You can make this cocktail by straining bourbon, pumpkin puree, vanilla, and pure maple syrup. After that, add some garnish on top of the bright orange drink to complete the cocktail.
While you may assume it’s a sweet drink from the ingredients, the Old Fashioned Pumpkin Cocktail will exceed your expectations. It tastes like bourbon for the first few sips but has a spicy finish.
This Halloween cocktail is best served cold, so don’t forget to keep beer mats underneath to avoid any water rings on your tables.
The drink is created by mixing cranberry juice, apple cider, ginger ale and dry ice for the smokey effect. It’s optional to add some aged rum to spice up this Halloween drink further for your customers.
The reason why it’s one of the best Halloween drinks is that you can serve it with or without alcohol. To complement the look, we recommend placing the drink on top of a customised beer mat that fits your Halloween theme.
This cocktail has many variations and the ingredients depend on the person making it. However, the most common items in a Bloody Mary cocktail are vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, tabasco sauce and black pepper.
To make this drink, simply blend all ingredients and strain them into a cocktail glass. We recommend serving this drink with ice and garnishes to enhance the look of this Halloween cocktail.
You can make this drink with orange juice, lemon-lime soda, and Midori melon liqueur. Add these ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake until it’s chilled. After that, pour it into a martini glass, add some soda, stir the drink and serve it to your customers.
One of the best things about this Halloween cocktail is that it isn’t too strong and people are more likely to ask for a second one, making it perfect for a bar event. The Martini glass might lead to some spillages, which you won’t need to worry about if you place beer mats on your tables.
That sums up all of our drink ideas for the Halloween season. These drinks are easy to make and will help to enhance the theme of the spooky festival at your bar this autumn.
Now that we’ve finished focusing on the Halloween cocktails, it’s time to focus on other aspects of your bar or pub. To create a theme around your bar, you need accessories to complement it.
